Judy has a graduate degree with honors in psychology and undergraduate degrees, with honors in
psychology and sociology/social work emphasis. She has been licensed as a psychologist since 1984.
Her background has included working for private social service agencies as well as being in charge of
the spouse abuse treatment program for the military at Reynoldʼs Army Hospital Outpatient Clinic, Ft.
Sill, Oklahoma. She has been the key presenter for the Mayo Clinic, Rochester Community College,
live call-in television panels, Stephenʼs ministry, Southeast Minnesota Youth Rally, retreats, community
chair in social justice outreach, high school educator and the Alumna Spotlight Feature for her graduate
school. Judy has also been a liaison for 12 infants being adopted in South Korea. She has been in
private practice since 2000.

Judyʼs work involves finding the root source and understanding of the pain that brings people to her
care. She works using metaphor, narrative, art therapy and integration. She  also teaches practical
tools of communication, wellness and mindfulness. She sees people dealing with everyday stress as
well as chronic anxiety, depression, trauma and eating disorders. Judy works with adults and
adolescents.

Judy is passionate about the natural world and is an avid gardener, hiker and traveler. She is a mom
of four and is married to Jeff. She has a dog and t
wo cats, all formerly homeless. Judy strives to
balance her life and to rejoice in lifeʼs many miracles.
