Kay received her Dietetics/Nutrition degree from Minnesota State, Mankato and completed her Dietetic
Internship through the University of Minnesota Consortium Internship Program.

After working for five years in a Regional Treatment Center with a mental health and chemical
dependency focus, she began working in the field of Eating Disorders and Weight Management.  Kay
was instrumental in developing the nutrition component at Methodist Hospital’s Eating Disorder
Program.  She has worked in all levels of treatment – inpatient, outpatient, day programming, and
residential.  She was the program manager of the Anna Westin House, the first residential treatment
center in the state.  Currently Kay consults with several college health services and wellness centers
along with her private practice.

Throughout her career, Kay has worked with various groups and has continued presenting and
teaching.  She taught the nutrition component for a weight management program for adolescents and
for new families in prenatal and parenting classes.  Most recently she taught Principles of Nutrition at a
local university.

There is always something new to learn and Kay embraces this thought in her practice. She is
passionate about her work in the field.  She enjoys working with clients of all ages along with their
families and support systems.
